ACA Marketplace Open Enrollment Period (OEP) Changes

A June 2025 ruling mandated some changes regarding ACA. One of those changes goes into effect this year. That ruling changed the Open Enrollment Period (OEP), which will start on November 1, 2026, and end on December 15, 2026 (dates can vary in some state-based marketplaces).

All changes during this period will become effective on January 1, 2027. This is the most crucial time for anyone under 65 and in need of Affordable Care Act health insurance coverage to make changes. Outside of this period, you would need to qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to enroll or make changes to your ACA Marketplace plan.
